Aluminium has many useful properties. It is light, has fair mechanical strength and good electrical conductivity. Its surface properties are less good; it is soft, difficult to solder, and poor for moving parts in contact with each other. All these adverse surface properties can be overcome by electroplating.
Read MoreThe Zinc electroplating process involves formation of an electrolytic cell consisting of two metals that form electrodes, then passing an electric current through the electrolyte .The Zinc is the anode and the steel to be plated is the cathode. The zinc ions travel through the solution and attach themselves to the surface of the substrate
Read MoreNickel remains a popular electroplating finish because of its combination of corrosion resistance, mechanical properties and appearance.
